JOHNSTON, R.I., USA, April 11, 2024 – mercial property insurer FM Global today announced that FM Global President and Chief Executive Officer Malcolm C. Roberts has been appointed chair of the board by the company’s board of directors. The appointment is effective immediately.

Meet Malcolm C. Roberts, FM’s Chairman & CEO, guiding global strategy and operations with decades of leadership in commercial property insurance.

As chairman and chief executive officer of FM, I am responsible for the strategic and operational direction of our commercial property insurance business across more than 130 countries.

The three companies were sharing the resources of an inspection group, yet were competing with one another for customers. To reduce competition and costs, in 1998 the CEOs announced their intent to merge the three companies to create FM Global. The merger was completed in 1999.
