You’re required to revalidate—or renew—your enrollment record periodically to maintain Medicare billing privileges. In general, providers and suppliers revalidate every five years but DMEPOS suppliers revalidate every three years. CMS also reserves the right to request off cycle revalidations.

This website is temporarily out of service due to system maintenance. PECOS is the application that supports the Medicare provider and supplier enrollment process by capturing provider supplier information from the 855A, 855B, 855I, 855O, 855R and 855S forms.

Revalidation information should be completed as a “snapshot in time” on the correct CMS enrollment application. Revalidation application checklists are available on this website to help verify completion and submission of supporting documents.

The online Medicare provider enrollment system allows you to enroll in Medicare, update enrollment information and reassign privileges to an organization.

PECOS is the online Medicare enrollment management system which allows you to review information currently on file and withdraw electronically. The PECOS system has print and video tutorials to walk you through different scenarios of withdrawing from Medicare:

If you have received a letter to revalidate your Medicare provider enrollment (s), you may access the online Medicare provider enrollment application to revalidate your enrollment.
