HelloFresh is great for people who love following cooking instructions, and they have a lot of fridge space to accommodate all of the packaging. Also, if you get easily overwhelmed with having a lot to do, this isn't for you. A friend of mine sent me some free boxes, and HF ended up charging me 70 dollars b c it's not clear when the "free" part ...
I did enjoy HelloFresh, but the exorbitant "premium" pricing being applied to 30% of the meal choices finally got to me, plus it was a lot of cooking which I don't always have time for, so ultimately I switched to already prepared meal services like Factor and Snap Kitchen. Love them both and tend to rotate.

I got a 16 free meal coupon but honestly, HelloFresh seems kind of "money grabby." At checkout it said I only got 9 free meals, some meals cost extra, ($9 per serving is not cheap) their sides and extras, like desserts aren't cheap either.

Is HelloFresh worth it? I am a current university student in Canada, wondering if HelloFresh is worth the money. As we all know, groceries are expensive, and as a student, I don't have much time to grocery shop cook. But I want to know if, in the long run, it would be more expensive to use HelloFresh rather than simply buying my own groceries ...

For my partner and I, HelloFresh is great. It limits our options to x meals instead of trying to put together something on our own. Everything is thawed and we aren’t waiting until 7pm to finally cook once stuff is thawed because we forgot to pull something. It’s expensive but the 1 week of 3x2 meals is cheaper than 1 night out to eat.
We've been getting Hello Fresh for about a year now, and while it IS very convenient, the ice packs are driving me absolutely insane.
