We had a four door Norcold in our 2006 Itasca and it was not always very reliable. I replaced the cooling unit with the Amish Pines Refrigeration unit and installed a Fridge Fix fan inside to keep the air circulated. It worked great when parked, but always when on the road the temperatures would rise to up to 50 degrees inside the compartment. I experimented with outside fans and was working ...
I have a Norcold 4 door w icemaker that maintains a temp between 42 50. This is the second refrigerator and tomorrow will be the third cooling unit added. If you press the temp and mode and hold for 5 seconds, the message center will display codes. Does anyone know how to interpret these...
Our Norcold fridge is too cold even at setting #1 during the winter. Somewhere on this forum I recall reading that a Norcold 1200 should have the thermistor attached to the third fin from the right.
Norcold 1200 Series Replacement I had a 1200 Series Norcold in my Monaco Cayman. When the refrigerator failed, I replaced the cooling unit with an all electric unit from JC Refrigeration. Much better and much safer than the Norcold. When the refrigerator was removed I found the battens that hold the insulation around the refrigerator had burned.

My Norcold 3150 display does not come on but the fridge seems to be working otherwise. I can push the display, even though it's not illuminated, and get it to change modes.
My Norcold is no longer cooling. Still troubleshooting but i think its the fans or fan thermostat. If I have to pull the fridge, I'm thinking I'll just order the JC Refrigeration conversion kit with two compressors to run on 12v power. I'm curious to hear from anyone who has done the DIY...
Hi, My Norcold refrigerator was working fine. It's in a 1996 Class C. Today, after using it all weekend, you can hear the igniter start clicking and then the burner lights. The burner stays lit but the igniter keeps clicking until the refrigerator thinks it hasn't lit and turns off the gas...
The Norcold keeps track of how long it takes to drop in temperature and if a certain time limit is exceeded it will set that code. You can power off the Norcold and it will reset and try again. If it fails again the second time you have to go to the control board and do some jumpering.
