The Yale website says that you can “satisfy Yale’s standardized testing requirements by self reporting all ACT and or SAT scores on the application.” They ask that you self report all scores, but they do superscore the SAT.

Looking at Yale’s page about letters of rec, they “do not encourage” additional letters of rec. The letter of rec I’m considering submitting is from the surgeon I’ve shadowed all summer, who used to serve on one of the Yale boards run by alumni. Is it worth sending in his input, or should I skip it considering Yale’s wording?
