Re: \"4x4\" vs \"Z71\" differences? For the new Silverado models, I believe the stickers and air cleaner are about the only unique items in the Z 71 package as the stabilizer bars, shocks, and skid plates are also available as separate packages on non Z 71 trucks. The Z 71 option is only around $280 so you know it doesn't include very much.
Re: Z71 mild lift idea to fit 35\" tires The Skyjacker Lift is a good lift, as long as you don't crank the torsion bars all the way the stiffness difference is minimal on a standard half ton truck. With this lift and a 1 inch body lift, however, you will have to cut most of the bottom of the fender off to fit 35" tires.
I just bought a 1998 Z71 Silverado Xcab. Can somebody PLEASE tell me what came with the Z71 option? All I can tell is skid plates and Bilstiens. I don't think the truck has a limited slip diff....was one available? I love the truck but I think my Jeep Cherokee Pioneer was better suited for off...
